Early detection of CO is therefore imperative, and it's advisable that you install a BS standard CO detector with an audible alarm. Contact us for further information.
However, if you ever suspect that you have a problem with CO, call us immediately and we will organise the appropriate tests and solutions.
The Health and Safety Executive strongly recommends the use of CO alarms as being a very useful precaution for giving home occupiers advance warning of CO. Importantly however, alarms should not be regarded as being a replacement for regular maintenance and safety checks by a Gas Safe Registered engineer. Such alarms cost between £20 and £30 each, but before purchasing one always ensure that it complies with British Standard EN 50291 and carries a British or European approval mark, such as a Kitemark.
