Logic Group's Heating Roadshow in Penrith, was a heating education community outreach activity to promote the virtues of efficient heating for Cumbrian homes and businesses.
The Worcester Bosch display van enabled people to see a range of displays about The Worcester Greenstar range of boilers and allow the public some hands-on acquaintance with display models that show just how compact these A rated energy efficient oil and gas boilers really are.
For many Cumbrians who still suffer from antiquated heating facilities, the outreach event was quite an eye-opener! Of particular interest, was the degree of control achievable over room and water temperatures with modern controllers. There are still a lot of us who lack this degree of control and many who dread the cold of winter.
Nowadays, with fuel and energy prices soaring the way they are, the concerns of reducing our CO2 emissions and enhancing energy efficiency go very much hand in hand. There is also the issue of physical and mental health to consider. It's hard to keep well and happy if you're freezing cold. It's quite possible to have the temperature drop about you unrealised (like the proverbial frog in hot water) until you're sneezing and miserable.
Those of us who missed Logic's Heating Roadshow can see static displays at the firm's Appleby Showrooms at Unit 6, on the Cross Croft Industrial Estate, in Appleby-in-Westmorland.
