Solar PV System Supply and Installation
Solar PV, or Photovoltaic, refers to the technology used to convert sunlight into electricity. It is a clean and renewable energy source that has been gaining popularity as a way to reduce carbon emissions and meet increasing energy demands.
A solar PV system typically consists of solar panels, an inverter, and a battery if energy storage is desired. Photovoltaic cells, which are semiconductor devices that convert sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity, make up the solar panels. The inverter then converts the DC electricity into alternating current (AC) electricity, the form used in homes and businesses.
Solar PV systems can be installed on rooftops, on the ground, or as part of larger utility-scale projects. They are becoming increasingly affordable and efficient, making them a cost-competitive alternative to traditional sources of electricity, such as coal and natural gas.
In addition to reducing carbon emissions and providing a reliable source of clean energy, solar PV can also reduce dependence on non-renewable energy sources, increase energy security, and create new jobs in the clean energy sector.
